Barrettine Timber End Grain Preserver

Barrettine Timber End Grain Preserver: - is a long lasting end grain protection from rot, fungi & blue stain.

Formulated to be used on pressure treated timber where it has been cut, drilled or worked in any way to expose the untreated inner wood. Protects against fungal decay such as wet rot, wood discolouring fungus and wood boring insect attack. Penetrates strongly into end grain wood providing a water repellent finish. Contains resins and oils to give a long lasting effect.

Preparation: freshly sawn ends should be free of dust and debris before applying Barrettine Timber Cut End Preserver.

Drying time: allow 12 hours drying time between coats and 24 hours for overall drying time

Barrettine Timber Cut End Preserver is a solvent-based end grain preserver. Available as two options:

Clear End Grain - for use on timber which has been pressure treated with tanatone, giving a brown colouration.

Green End Grain - for use on timber that has been tanalised and looks green

Coverage approx: 5.5 sq mts per litre

Note: Always do a test area before starting any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Shake or stir well prior to application.

Application: Apply Barrettine Timber Cut End Preserver using a brush or roller, for the best protection apply a minimum of 2 thin and even coats, apply liberally to cross-cut, notched or drilled timber and allow it to be absorbed

End grain can be dipped in the preserver for an hour to achieve a deeper penetration
