Johnstone's Stabilising Solution

Johnstone's Trade Stormshield Stabilising Solution- is a penetrating formulation suitable for application to external masonry surfaces that are friable or highly porous. It's designed to create a substrate that can be further decorated with water-borne paints, such as Stormshield Smooth, Textured and Jontex High Build Masonry Finishes. Suitable for concrete, cement rendering, brick, stone, blockwork and pebble dash.

Coverage- approximately 6–8 square metres per litre, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface

Application- Stir well. Easy to apply by brush or roller. Suitable for use under Pliolite®. Apply one coat of Stabilising Solution liberally to a small test area. If this dries to a glossy film, thin with a small quantity of White Spirit to two parts of Stabilising Solution and then test again on another small area. If a glossy film still results, try a blend of equal parts of White Spirit and Stabilisng Solution. It is important to ensure that a non-glossy, dried sealed surface is produced.

Drying Time- Recoatable after 16–24 hours under normal drying conditions.
